On March 24, 1996, at the General Assembly of the Panevoic Association of America, Mr. Giannis Symeonidis again proposed the establishment of a Charitable Foundation in Evia based in Chalkida and under the name "Tassos Georgiadis".

The purpose of this institution will be the financial and moral assistance to people who, either come from the Prefecture of Evia, or are permanent residents and have serious health problems that require hospitalization in Greece, or need to go abroad and the their family can not afford it.

The initial capital of the Foundation will be the rest of the fundraising money.

Our goal is to collect from offers and donations here in Greece the amount of 58,695 euros (20,000,000 drachmas), from the interest of which will begin to help, less at the beginning, more afterwards, those in need. The higher amount will remain constant and will have the power to constantly increase.

The Foundation is managed by eleven (11) members. The President, the Vice President and a member of our Association, who will be appointed by the plenary each time, will be for life.

The remaining members will be appointed with the consent of the three lifelong members for a period of three years.

We entrust the Presidency of the Foundation to Archimandrite Pavlos Ioannou who traveled many times from Evia to New York for this purpose and whom we had the pleasure and honor to meet all of us at an event of our Association.

We entrust the Vice Presidency to the mother of the late Aikaterini Georgiadou

The third lifelong member will be from our association and will be Mr. Giannis Symeonidis who was voted unanimously by the plenary.
